Yes, this is a sock puppet account. You don't expect me to touch topics like the ones this account edits, using my regular account, do you?

I have not and will not (unless it's by accident) use this account to edit articles I also edit under my other account, and I especially will not pretend to be a "supporter" of myself in Talk debates. I will never vote more than once in any Wikipedia election or poll. Any edits I make - with either account - are good faith efforts to improve the content of Wikipedia. In short: I use my sock puppet responsibly.

Although the history of this account suggests a narrow focus and relatively short time on Wikipedia, I'm much more active under my other account, on a wide variety of topics, and have been for quite some time. But I found myself avoiding editing certain articles, because I didn't want people using my apparent "interest" in certain scandalous topics to disparage my edits in other areas. Also, my main account uses my real name (which is more disclosure than is actually expected of Wikipedia editors, but something I have done online for nearly 20 years) and I don't want people hassling me in real life about things I might say online about such topics. (It once cost me a job with an employer who saw no distinction between my personal and professional lives; I have justification to be cautious.) And so, I created a sock puppet.
