Marcy Abramsky (born c. 1970s/1980s) is an American licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and motivational services provider based in New York, United States. She is the founder and clinical director of InspireAmind® Motivational Services and the creator/editor-in-chief of the digital magazine InspireOn. Abramsky is known for her work in MST Therapy, in- person therapy in schools across NYC and The Bronx. At present, her Teletherapy, motivational coaching, and advocacy for mental health and resilience.
Early life and education
Marcy Abramsky became a student counselor at the Women’s Health Center at the University at Buffalo in her undergraduate years. She also finished classes a semester early to do an internship with WGRZ in Buffalo. Journalism and political science was her interest. After working the news desk and creating packages for the news, she knew it wasn’t her path ( at that time). She double majored in Sociology and Health and Human Services and minored in film and media.
Today Abramsky holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, with a year of study ant Fordham University and a degree earned in 1999, at The State University of NY at Buffalo and completed her post-master’s training in educational leadership at Stony Brook University.
She became a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York in 1999. A few years later she obtained her Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential. In addition, she holds permanent New York State certifications as a Permanent School Social Worker snd a Professional School District Leader. Her years of of experience in crisis ( 9/11• NY, serious mental health concerns, weapons and taking charge when it was asked of her; along with years of specialized clinical training including multi systemic therapy, CBT, SFBT, hiring and running meetings make her one of the best out there for therapy, advocacy , self awareness, and bettering yourself and your community.
Career
Abramsky has practiced private clinical social work since the early 2018, providing psychotherapy, teletherapy, coaching, and consulting services to adults, adolescents, families, and caregivers across New York State. She has taken Teletherapy classes to stay fresh with her knowledge. Her private practice, Marcy Abramsky, LCSW is completed by her Trademark InspireAmind®️. This, is a different part of her work. She was runner up to the in incumbent but was honored to selected for the election. She has worked in multiple settings including schools, agencies, private practice, and community support programs. Her work includes supporting clients with anxiety, life stress, caregiver challenges, and school-related concerns. She has been an advocate for patients with cancer and Alzheimer’s as well as caregivers.

While in her first year at Fordham University Marcy made a little time for fun. In 1998 the boy band 98 Degrees were at their first MTV awards - as she watched the float go around radio city music hall, the float stopped in front of her. Nick Lashey jumped down and took a picture with her and gave her a number for later and where he was staying. Flattering but she had no idea who he was and no intentions of going.
