Roger, though New Zealand born, is an Australian computer game designer. He along with Ian Trout formed Strategic Studies Group (SSG)[1] in 1983. Gregor Whiley joined shortly after to make up the team that produced many successful games. Roger's 1st solo game "Conflict",was published in 1979 for the Apple II. This game was then taken up for publishing by Strategic Simulations Inc (SSI) under the name of "Computer Conflict". This was the 1st of 7 games published by Roger through SSI., publishing 7 games whilst working with during 1981 & 1982. All future games were made after SSG was formed.
