The Rajputs of Indian continent were comprised of several tribes, known for their valor and chivalry in battle. For centuries, they were India's first line of defense against invaders.

RAJPUT MAIR are brave and bold warrior race.The word mair literally means brave.another meaning is mountain or hill.most of the mair rajput belong to yudvanshi and chandravanshi clan of rajput.One of these tribes was the DHUNNA RAJPUT.

The Dhunnas OR Dhuntha ,dunna,dunnha,dhuna,Dhunne,Dhunney,Dhavan are the Chandravanshi Rajputs which once ruled at Tolandi (Talwandi?) near Delhi and that of the two sons of Ahu, one of their line, Dhelo took to agriculture, while Dhunna through their wisdom and strength became King of parts of India. Both brothers had the same family priests and bards." The Dhunnas are the only true preservers old Rajput customs. The Dhunnas are known in the RAJPUT world as the highest of the highest caste system in India.
