Devon Thomas fell in love with fashion at a very young age. In fact, by age four, she was already convinced she would become a fashion designer. Her dream? To one day study design at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City.

Life, of course, had other plans.

After high school, Devon attended Seton Hall University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Shortly afterward, Devon landed a job with the iconic Liz Claiborne Inc. She would spend three years with the industry heavyweight before the next chapter of her life came calling -- parenthood.

Devon left the business to raise her son as a stay-at-home mom, a choice that would prove rewarding in more ways than one. Three years after her son was born, and just as she was contemplating a return to the fashion industry, Devon gave birth to twin boys. This life-changing event would, naturally, lead to another life-changing decision.

Caring for three kids at home, Devon knew that a job in the fashion industry wasn't simply going to fall in her lap. She knew that if she wanted to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a professional fashion designer, she had to find a way to take her talents to the industry -- even if it meant starting her own fashion design business from scratch.

Working at home while caring for three children was a daunting challenge, but before she knew it, Devon was dusting off the old sketch pad and signing up for local sewing classes. Within months she was sewing for herself and her friends to perfect her craft, and it wasn't long before she was designing custom work for clients of all ages, shapes and sizes.

The entire process has been a re-birth of sorts for Devon, who has always known that fashion is where she belongs.

Now, it's what she is.

Devon's major influences include fashion designers Roy Halston, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, and others. Just as she did when she was four, Devon hopes to one day join the ranks of those legends of design.
