FRANK JIVE AND THE UPTOWN FIVE ORIGIN frank jive and the uptown 5 are a five piece set,originating from meath.their founding member,allan,or collectivley known as frank jive,brought his friends aaron,emmet,eddie and cathal to join him and make grease history!frank jive bestowed upon his friends a title:aaron would be known as frank dive,eddie as frank live,cathal as frank scive,while emmet would be frank sex,while their manager sam would be david davies.they recorded their 1st single in east germany in 1938."ich trage pullover"went straight to number 1 and has spawned 3 covers since.the five,led by the jivemaster,began to tour worldwide.their 1st album "you drive my jive" sold over 2 million copies.however the blues soon got to them.frank dive aka aaron slipped away in the jivemania.the bejing sex scandal rocked the band,but the five stood by an apolegitic aaron and soon helped him overcome his demons. And now they are back in the spotlight.
