Why isn't Powerlifting linked here? It uses the template.
Also, it's a bit odd (but not totally unreasonable) to have both Olympic weightlifting and Weightlifting (piped to Olympic weightlifting) in the templates.--Nø (talk) 10:33, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2011-04-16T10:33:00.000Z","author":"N\u00f8","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-N\u00f8-2011-04-16T10:33:00.000Z-Powerlifting","replies":[]}}-->
Many of the links overlapped with each other; for example Oly lifting was listed (which is a sport), as well as the individual disciplines (e.g., clean and jerk), which are not, in and of themselves, sports. "Strength athletics" appears to be a less common name strongman (per its article). WSM is a specific promotion, not a sport. I fail to see how natural bodybuilding is contested any differently than regular bodybuilding--if the competitions are conducted in the same manner, it is one and the same sport (but perhaps with multiple governing bodies; but in that case powerlifting would need approximately 50 entries on this template).
The inclusion of mas-wrestling is intriguing because it is a sport (similar to tug-of-war) which requires almost nothing other than brute strength, but at the same time is done in a face-to-face manner unlike the other sports listed in the template, in which competitors' performances are judged one at a time, or in heats. That said, the World Games site lists tug-of-war (which is much more notable than mas-wrestling) under the strength sports heading, along with powerlifting and bodybuilding.[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.180.19.64 (talk) 16:12, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2013-06-20T16:12:00.000Z","author":"75.180.19.64","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-75.180.19.64-2013-06-20T16:12:00.000Z-Deleting_redundant_entries","replies":[]}}-->
