I was WP:BOLD and changed the template from hardcode with div tags to {{Navbox with columns}} and {{Navbox subgroup}}. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the fact that, depending on one's browser font size, some divisions can end up being two rows of text tall. Why is Toronto Blueshirts listed here? The linked article gives seasons up to 1916-17, while NHL only started in 1917-18. So it could be said that it wasn't a NHL team at all.
