My source, Pidgins and Creoles (1994), has Torres Strait Creole under "Australia" rather than "Mid-Pacific". Dunno why Queensland Kanaka English is treated differently though. --Ptcamn 22:07, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-04-17T22:07:00.000Z","author":"Ptcamn","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Ptcamn-2007-04-17T22:07:00.000Z-Torres_Strait_Creole","replies":["c-Jonsafari-2007-04-18T20:06:00.000Z-Ptcamn-2007-04-17T22:07:00.000Z"]}}-->

Yeah, I struggled with this too. But I thought since it's so close linguistically and geographically to, say Tok Pisin and other Melanesian Creoles, it couldn't hurt to be on this template. –jonsafari 20:06, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-04-18T20:06:00.000Z","author":"Jonsafari","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Jonsafari-2007-04-18T20:06:00.000Z-Ptcamn-2007-04-17T22:07:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
