Mayor William R. Stokes resigned due to being made a judge by the Governor; the City Council has chosen Mark O'Brien as an interim mayor until the November election to choose someone to fill the remainder of Stokes' term. A source for this is here but I'm not sure how to indicate that in this template since I don't see any other citations here. I'm not sure O'Brien warrants an article given his interim status, but I could create one if that would be better. I have indicated this on the Augusta, Maine page so maybe that is sufficient? Any assistance is appreciated. 331dot (talk) 20:28, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2014-08-08T20:28:00.000Z","author":"331dot","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-331dot-2014-08-08T20:28:00.000Z-Augusta,_Maine_Mayor_August_2014","replies":[]}}-->

Mayor Rick Blangiardi of Honolulu was elected as an independent and isn't a registered Republican, at least according to his Wikipedia page. Should he be changed here? R/I does not seem accurate. ~ Quacks Like a Duck (talk) 20:29, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-12-16T20:29:00.000Z","author":"Quackslikeaduck","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Quackslikeaduck-2021-12-16T20:29:00.000Z-Honolulu's_Mayor_Rick_Blangiardi","replies":["c-Adavidb-2021-12-16T22:54:00.000Z-Quackslikeaduck-2021-12-16T20:29:00.000Z"],"displayName":"Quacks Like a Duck"}}-->
The Honolulu mayoral election is non-partisan. I've changed the party abbreviation to '(I)'. —ADavidB22:54, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-12-16T22:54:00.000Z","author":"Adavidb","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Adavidb-2021-12-16T22:54:00.000Z-Quackslikeaduck-2021-12-16T20:29:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
