Template:OA-attribution
This article incorporates text from a scholarly publication published under a copyright license that allows anyone to reuse, revise, remix and redistribute the materials in any form for any purpose: Please check the source for the exact licensing terms.
Usage
This template should be placed in the References section of an article if the article incorporates text from an open access source and if there is no source specific template listed in Category:Attribution templates.
This template takes one parameter, the name of the source, along with any other details which are needed to identify the work:
{{OA-attribution|''source and other details''}}
The use of the template does not in itself comply with most Creative Commons licenses, unless the license is linked. Many Creative Commons licenses require that the license itself be linked when content is copied directly, which makes this kind of attribution different from a typical Wikipedia citation.
Examples
A text string can be passed as the parameter:
{{OA-attribution|Piwowar HA, Day RS, Fridsma DB (2007) Sharing Detailed Research Data Is Associated with Increased Citation Rate. PLoS ONE 2(3): e308. [[doi:10.1371/journal.pone.0000308]]}}
or a citation template, like {{cite doi}} can be used:
{{OA-attribution| {{Cite journal | last1 = Piwowar | first1 = H. A. | last2 = Day | first2 = R. S. | last3 = Fridsma | first3 = D. B. | editor1-last = Ioannidis | editor1-first = John | title = Sharing Detailed Research Data is Associated with Increased Citation Rate | doi = 10.1371/journal.pone.0000308 | journal = PLoS ONE | volume = 2 | issue = 3 | pages = e308 | year = 2007 | pmid = 17375194| pmc =1817752 }} }}
These would display as:
