The results of the renaming competition were to be announced at the NRAO's Town Hall at the American Astronomical Society's meeting in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 according to [1] - so what was the result? Frankly, I think the satellite photo of the VLA seen from space offers little useful information in it's current form. You can hardly find it on the photo if you don't know where exactly to look. Is there any way way it could be replaced by a slight more zoomed-in photo? Or maybe some form of connotation or like an arrow on the picture could help. Just my two cents. With the public announcement that the ngVLA will be moving forward to a pathfinder, and given that it is essentially its own instrument, would there be support for moving the ngVLA to its own page?
