Talk:Two Plus Two Publishing

Opening comment

I'm not sure whether a (partial) list of books published by Two Plus Two deserves to be listed in the article, but I had it handy, so I dumped it in. Also, I'm 90% sure that Hold'em Poker for Advanced Players was NOT their first book, so I removed that sentence. From the copyright dates and ISBN numbers, I would guess that The Theory of Poker (Sklanksy/Malmuth) was the first book published by Two Plus Two.--Toms2866 17:28, 26 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

My understanding is that Two Plus Two was founded by, and owned by, Mason Malmuth. Can anyone find a reference for this?--Toms2866 13:06, 1 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Two Plus Two Publishing was officially formed in December, 1989 when David Sklansky and myself decided to unite all our books. The first book I self published was Winning Concepts in Draw and Lowball in 1987 so in a sense that can be considered the first Two Plus Two book. When Two Plus Two Publishing was formed, and it was briefly called Malmuth Publishing, Mason Malmuth had three books, David Sklansky had four (including Winning Poker which was later retitled as The Theory of Poker), and Hold 'em Poker for Advanced Players and Seven-Card Stud for Advanced Players already existed and had been self published by Mason Malmuth. So the company began with nine books. -- Mason Malmuth

"Hold 'em Poker for Advanced Players" (HEPFAP) was not Two Plus Two's first book. The first book Mason Malmuth published was "Winning Concepts in Draw and Lowball". It was self-published so whether it counts as a 2+2 book or not may be debatable. "Gambling Theory and Other Topics" was published one year before HEPFAP.

Non-English languages

(...) titles are now being translated into many non-English languages - as opposed to being translated into English languages? I propose simply: (...) into many languages. 57.78.136.210 (talk) 14:27, 14 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
