I will soon add the history of tobacco litigations. It will attempt to answer questions of how/why tobacco lawsuits have not been successful, what happened during the 1990's that sparked a huge influx of tobacco lawsuits from a few hundreds to more than 7,000 cases in the United States alone. Worldwide perspective will be considered. I think this is a good topic. I don't see any comments yet on the proposed merge with Cigarette litigations. Is there any reason they should not be merged and one redirected to the other? Personally, I would favor the article being called Tobacco litigation, since "tobacco" is a bit more general than "cigarette". Merged accordingly. In doing so, I dropped a poorly written section from the Cigarette litigations version, "How has it affect the industry?" After much time has passed and giving much thought to your comments, there is nothing more specific for me or others to further add to this article. And since this article strive to be a non-general topic as opposed to the general Tobacco Litigations, it has not succeeded to live up to its expectations. However, should there be anything resourceful within this article, please transfer them to its proper place in the Tobacco Litigations. Make the merge. Cheers!
