I searched wikipedia for information about settle time, as seen in computer hard disks. I did not find an article explaining what settle time is. Settle time is a quite important concept, referring to the time it takes the read/write head to reach a stable state after a disk seek. I would like to create a new article, but I am not sure about the exact procedure. For example:

The article labelled "Settle time" currently is a redirection to "Settling time". What should happen with that redirection? Transform it into a disambiguation page?

What should the new article be named? Simple "Settle time", or something like "Settle time (hard disk)"?

Your advice will be appreciated.

Also, I am not sure whether my questions belong here or somewhere else. In the latter case, please let me know where I should put them the next time I am having similar ones.
