Talk:Secure file transfer program

Recommendation to merge with SSH File Transfer Protocol:

I almost want to suggest http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Merging

  • {{mergeto|Secure_file_transfer_program|discuss=Talk:SSH_File_Transfer_Protocol#Merger proposal|date=December 2012}} on this page, and
  • {{mergefrom|SSH_File_Transfer_Protocol|discuss=Talk:SSH_File_Transfer_Protocol#Merger proposal|date=December 2012}} (on SSH_File_Transfer_Protocol)

It appears that some people thought OpenBSD's program was designed around a different protocol, in which case separate pages would make sense. I found that to be false, and cited the documentation. Any info on this page should probably just be added to the other page. However, I'm already thinking I've been bold enough with my changes at 13:36, 27 December 2012. Making further changes would add to the workload of reverting my changes in case anyone disagrees with me. So I'm not polluting both pages with my plan, at this time. It makes sense to first ensure that my changes so far are accepted. 2001:470:A:1FF:0:0:0:2 (talk) 13:55, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

When you decide that you really want to suggest a merge, rather than almost want to suggest one, please put the merge tags on the article pages. Wbm1058 (talk) 02:02, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
