Does they use QuakeWorld-like Multiplayer code? If so, what means Quake4World? If not, why not, since the code is simply better than the original? Why going back to the old bad code? 201.72.158.15701:52, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-01-08T01:52:00.000Z","author":"201.72.158.157","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-201.72.158.157-2007-01-08T01:52:00.000Z-Untitled","replies":[]}}-->
Quake's 2 and 3 do. Look at the Quake Engine family tree on this page: Quake engine. Quake 4 uses the Doom 3 engine and John Caramck completely rewrote the network code for that.

Quake4World was a mod of Quake4 to emulate QuakeWorld physics, not netcode. If I recall correctly, there was a single cvar which modulated how much air control there was, as well as a Q4 port of Q1's DM4.
