It seems that this article has long said that Paul Kane was founded in 1949, however I have found multiple reliable sources that say it was 1971. If anyone can find a source supporting the 1949 date I would appreciate it. Until then I ask that it be left at 1971. I have found more sources. It seems the current building was built circa 1971 but the original building opened in 1963. I haven't found any sources that mention 1949. I was attending Paul Kane High School in 1971, and there was no construction happening then, original building was opened in 1963.
