It is an old thread, but it is worth pointing out that I have replaced the file with File:Alzheimer's disease brain comparison.jpg, since it is the most common of the diseases. The old macrocephaly GIF always seemed out of place to me. You are welcome. Hi Wikipedia Users, I suggest the addition of the following sentence to the Alzheimer's disease section of this neurodegeneration page.

"Dysregulation of the dopaminergic system is associated with Alzheimer's disease." PMID=19047053

There has been many studies on the association of the dopaminergic system with neurodegenrative disease specially Alzheimer's disease. I think this has not been thoroughly discussed in this page. It would be informative to mention the association of dopaminergic system with neurodegeration in the brain.

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Neurodegeneration's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version.
