So, why local usage details... police don't care about long distance calls? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.95.103.98 (talk • contribs) 00:21, 2 June 2005 (UTC)
- Because local calls are not on phone bills. G. Csikos —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.84.193.199 (talk) 04:54, August 25, 2007 (UTC)

I thought that "local", was used here as it is in LAN for LOCAL Area Network. In other words LUDS contain records of ALL calls to local AND long distance number originating from the ("local") telephone number being investigated, or incoming calls to that number. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.237.220.239 (talk) 15:29, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
