Whoever created this page must have very little knowledge of Korean rock. Korean rockK-rock – This is mainly a move for consistency. All the other pages in the other languages refers to Korean rock as K-rock. I proposed the same move for Japanese rock since people also use the term J-rock more often when referring to rock that comes from Japan. Similar to how K-pop and J-pop is used to refer to pop music from both countries and Korean idol and Japanese idol when referring to the specific singers. The Korean page also uses K-Rock with the English page being the only one that doesn't. • Oppose subject to evidence from GBooks that K-Rock has really replaced the general term. • Oppose Most sources (Google Books and news) refer to it as "Korean rock." See this book, this book, this book, and this book, as examples. Most news searches for "K-rock" bring up unrelated topics, including radio stations called K-Rock and the K-Rock Centre, which is a stadium in Ontario. Having edited a few Wikipedia articles on Korean rock and having gone through these sources and others, I'm fairly confident that "K-rock" is not a common name, at least not in English.Lenoresm (talk) 15:40, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2018-02-20T15:40:00.000Z","author":"Lenoresm","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Lenoresm-2018-02-20T15:40:00.000Z-KumaPanda-2018-02-20T08:12:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
  • Oppose. The most appropriate content for the undisambiguated title K-Rock is a disambiguation page, as it has not been established that Korean rock music is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for this name. While K-Rock does redirect here right now, I need to note that it does so only because it was directly hijacked last year by an arbitrary page move of the radio article followed by an immediate repointing here with no recorded discussion to establish a consensus for that. It may be true that Korean rock music is "primary" for the term K-Rock in Korea, but that's not the case in North America, where the radio brand is significantly more prominent — we're very aware of Korean pop music over here, but Korean rock music has not reached the point of competing with the radio brand for prominence. So the appropriate solution is for the plain term K-Rock to be a dab page, because we have two competing usages of which neither has an overwhelming claim to primary topic for the name. I don't oppose the page move of the radio brand (although it should have been to "radio" rather than "radio station", because the article was not about a radio station, but about a branding used by many radio stations), but doing it specifically so as to hijack the term K-Rock for this instead of that was not appropriate — a dab page was and is the correct solution. • Oppose "Korean pop (한국의 대중음악)" and K-pop are not the same. For example, you won't consider Kim Gwang-seok a K-pop artist. The phrase "Korean rock (한국의 록)" refers to rock music from/in Korea, as the phrase "Korean pop" refers to pop music from/in Korea. K-pop is a genre. I don't know what "K-rock" refers to. --Postcol (talk) 13:21, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2018-02-23T13:21:00.000Z","author":"Postcol","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Postcol-2018-02-23T13:21:00.000Z-KumaPanda-2018-02-20T08:12:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
