A production section needs to be added to this article, or the current one needs to be expanded. This section discusses the "behind the scenes" aspects of the production process, award nominations, and insights into the casting and staffing where possible.
A response section needs to be added to this article, or the current one needs to be expanded. This section should be well cited using neutral and reliable sources that discuss the reaction of both critics and the viewing audience to the show. Additionally, document any impact the show has had on society, and merchandise that may have resulted from the show, such as toys, games, etc.
An editor has requested that an image or photograph be added to this article.
It says that the show was aired on CBS for 20 years, and "the show aired on CBS from 1998 to 2000" that's two years. Please fix that. I believe it was Art Linkletter's House Party that aired for 20 years, and Kids say the Darndest things that aired for two years. By the way, don't be shy about editing the Wikipedia. There is something seriously out of place in the information here. The book was originally in Mass Market Paperback, December 31, 1958. You can see this here: http://www.amazon.com/Kids-Say-Darndest-Things-Linkletter/dp/1587612496.
Yet the article has the books being inpsired by a 1996 TV show. The cover artwork by Schultz clearly reflects his late-50's character design. (I found this article doing a serch on some other book besides the Peanuts series that Schulz did that I had remembered, and then when I saw the title "KSTDT"; I remembered it).
Clearly, the show was based on the old book; not the other way around.Eric B (talk) 19:26, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2009-11-16T19:26:00.000Z","author":"Eric B","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Eric_B-2009-11-16T19:26:00.000Z-20_years??","replies":[]}}-->

Agree that the book was before 1960's
I read this book when I was a kid (my mom had it) and I'm over 50... so I agree, the book preceded whatever shows there might have been. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.106.103.254 (talk) 15:59, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2010-02-12T15:59:00.000Z","author":"199.106.103.254","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-199.106.103.254-2010-02-12T15:59:00.000Z-20_years??","replies":[]}}-->
