3D model of kidney

It would be very nice to have 3D model of the Kidney, so that people can explore it from thier prefered angle; I uploaded this one. But it was not accepted what would need to be changed/updated about the model before it would be acceptable for the article?

Likely AI-generated content

Hi; I've tagged this article with the AI generated template as I believe Parker.Josh's edits (from earlier this year) are AI; on other articles they have done things like leave in chatbot responses in diffs, and their text also contains other less blatant signs of LLM use. Thus all of their additions here also need review for accuracy, hallucinations, source-to-text integrity, and synthesis/editorializing. I am not a subject matter expert here so this review should probably be done by someone who is. Gnomingstuff (talk) 20:45, 1 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

How to connect to Kidney articles in other languages?

This page, curiously for such an important article, is available in only one other language (Russian). Yet there is a Wikipedia article on the (human) kidney in 158 (!) other languages, including Simple English. They're just not connected to this page. How can they be connected? Clearly these are exactly the same subject.

When I wrote the articles about the mammalian kidney and vertebrate kidney, I organized Wikidata items accordingly, but my actions were reverted: wikidata:Wikidata:Project_chat/Archive/2022/05#почка_(Q111907436)_and_почка_(Q9377). The main problem was that I changed the kidney Wikidata item's context from the kidney to the human kidney (because there probably were no connected articles about the vertebrate kidney). Since then there is a big confusion between Wikidata items. Most of the other Wikipedias probably describe the human kidney, but it's not clear from the article's name. The most ridiculous is that kidney (Q9377) is set with different from to human kidney (Q112107043), but English vertebrate kidney (Q112262537) is currently nowhere. And the confusion might persist for a long time because of the names of the articles. D6194c-1cc (talk) 06:56, 15 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I merged kidney (Q112262537) into kidney (Q9377). So now kidney (Q9377) is linked against Kidney (vertebrates). I also added an illustration of pronephros to that article (at Kidney_(vertebrates)#Pronephros), so that there would be less confusion about what a kidney can look like and where it is located (it's definitely not been-shaped in vertebrates other than mammals).
