Regarding the comment below, International Pen Friends (IPF) was founded by Neil O'Donnell in Dublin, Ireland on 7 April 1967. Since that time, IPF has grown to have over 1.5 million members worldwide aged from 8-80+ years, with both individual and school class services available together with a full colour magazine. IPF also has agents in many countries around the world. Unfortunately, a person who was previously one of our agents trademarked our name in USA without our permission in 1996/1997. Many laws were violated when this happened, including copyright. This person is now also pretending that their service is a continuation of a penfriend service that Parker Pen organised specifically for the New York World's Fair. The current office of Parker has confirmed that their penfriend service officially terminated in March of 1967. Registering a trademark does not give the right to associate the trademark with other people or organizations that have used the same or similar words as part of their service over the history of time. The Head Office of International Pen Friends is located in Australia. It is a registered business and it was legally purchased from Neil O'Donnell who was the Founder and President of International Pen Friends until he retired in 2001. All claims regarding this matter have documented evidence and can be legally proved. Julie Delbridge, President, International Pen Friends, www.ipf.net.au.
The Term "International PenFriends"(R) (IPF) was first used at the Worlds Fair in the USA over 60 years ago. The program, then sponsored by the President was to help promote world communication & peace. This Trademarked program continues operation and is based in the USA, and now operates in 251 countries & territories around the world with over 7 million members.

"International Penfriends" is a trademark owned by International Penfriends company in USA (internationalpenfriends.com).
No other one has the right to call theirself with this name so you should stop links from others.
We get such complaints about once a month from both organizations so named. It is our decision to include both since there appear to be competing, valid trademark claims. We encourage the two organizations involved to resolve the matter amongst themselves.
