Application Protocol?
The start of this wikipedia article states that INAP stands for ... Application Protocol. I think this is wrong. All this family of application protocols are named Application Parts, i.e. INAP, MAP, CAP, etc. That is, all these *AP abbreviations end in Application Part.
In terms of the SS7 stack, they are all one level above TCAP (where TCAP is also called an Application Part, perhaps confusingly).
This is, of course, distinct to the User Part protocols, e.g. ISUP, TUP. 82.21.133.132 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 22:10, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
