Note: I realized today that this could work as a Halloween hook. Note: This cannot be a Halloween hook, as that date is indeed too far in the future to qualify for a special occasion hook.

Both articles were nominated in time. Earwigs gives a 74.5% for Florida death metal, but that's just due to interview quotes which are properly cited. QPQ has been done. Assuming good faith for the source for the hook fact. Only issue is that the hook fact only has an end-footnote in the Florida death metal article but not the list article. There's alot of good info here, but we can't have giant walls of text and giant block quotes. This is going to be my next big project on here.
