Requested move 18 March 2026

Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: not moved. Current title fits translation and natural disambiguation. (non-admin closure) {{GearsDatapacks|talk|contribs}} 15:56, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
Dutch Top 40 → Top 40 (Netherlands) – Nowhere on the website or in its history does the title appear in its current form. The organization is called "Stichting Nederlandse Top 40" (translated as "Dutch Top 40 Foundation"), while the chart itself is simply called "Top 40". I'm not sure it's appropriate to derive the name from part of the organization's name. Another option is "Top 40 (Dutch record chart)". Solidest (talk) 15:43, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
- Comment: The "Netherlands" page says "Nederlandse Top 40". Isn't the direct translation the correct one? Guz13 (talk) 00:45, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose. I don't really see the issue, and the alternatives listed are not better by any means. Skyversay (talk) 17:42, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose - "Top 40" is ambiguous, the current title is ideal per WP:NATDIS and should be retained in favor of a parenthetical, and as above is a direct translation. This is coverage of the chart, not the foundation, which would be treated differently if it were the topic. ASUKITE 20:14, 27 March 2026 (UTC)
