- ... that a Gibraltarian firefighter once played football for Manchester United?
- Source: Gibraltar Chronicle "Returning to the Rock he played a season with Manchester in the Gibraltar league, 1994/95." Per the RSSSF, the only Manchester in the Gibraltar league that season was Manchester United (the original name for Manchester 62, as seen in the club's article).
- ALT1: ... that a former international footballer is the chief fire officer of Gibraltar? (Now, 20 years and seven months after that unforgettable night when Balona celebrated their first promotion to Segunda B at the Municipal Stadium, the footballer has experienced the second most important promotion of his life. This week, Colin Ramirez became the new Chief Fire Officer of Gibraltar, culminating his two decades of service to the fire department.)

- I can review this, but I'd like to see the text supporting alt1. Can you supply a fair use quote from the supporting source. thanks Victuallers (talk) 17:38, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Victuallers: Just added the text beside the source. ShadowBallX (talk) 02:29, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks - it was the playing for Man U that I really wanted to see. My mistake for saying "alt1" Victuallers (talk) 07:12, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
- Nah, you're good. I just assumed you wanted the specific part translated so you wouldn't have to go through the whole thing. I've now added the exact quote from the source for the main hook, plus some more context in case you don't know much about football. ShadowBallX (talk) 07:41, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

- Proposing this for the 19 July SOHA. Dahn (talk) 22:15, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
for Alt1 only. The main hook is a non-starter- the club has never been called "Manchester United" as the article makes clear. Might work for April 1 but not August 1. Alt1 is possible though. Its cited to a reliable source. The QPQ is done. Its new, neutral and long enough. However where does it say "international" in the supplied source? Earwig says OK. I found this though... and its cited in the article. Victuallers (talk) 22:39, 11 July 2026 (UTC)
