Slave?

Was she a slave or a serf (or some other category)? See Serfdom in Tibet controversy. PhilUK (talk) 21:56, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

She was a slave, per two independent Western sources, including one by noted German sinologist Wolfgang Bartke. Don't rely on Wikipedia for information about controversial topics, they're inexorably POV-ridden. Slavery in Tibet was blown out of proportion by Chinese propaganda, but neither was it nonexistent as exile-Tibetan propaganda claims. For an authoritative discussion of the topic, see A.
