Sysonby[3][4] is the name given to the ward and suburb[5] of Melton Mowbray in the county of Leicestershire, England. It is one of the six wards of the town on Melton Borough Council.[6]

Geography

The ward covers the northwestern part of the town and is bisected by the A606 road.[7][8] The area is predominately residential with some small shopping precedents on a steep hill.[9] Additionally, the North and East Melton Mowbray Distribution Road is currently under construction to the east of the ward.[10] The ward is mentioned in numerous books covering the town of Melton Mowbray, this likely means that the ward was once a historic hamlet/village before being merged with the town.
