Susan Taslimi (b. 7 February 1950; Persian: سوسن تسلیمی), (also spelled Soosan Taslimi and Sousan Taslimi) is an Iranian-Swedish film and theatre actress, director and screenwriter.[2] She emigrated from Iran in 1987, and now lives and works in Sweden.[3][4]

Biography

Born in Rasht in 1950, Taslimi is the first non-European to play the lead role on a national theater stage in Sweden.[5]

She graduated in theater and acting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran.[6] She started film acting with Bahram Bayzai's Ballad of Tara in 1979.[5]
