At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,418 in 375 households, when it was in Mohammadabad Rural District of the Central District of Karaj County, Tehran province.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 3,338 people in 1,019 households, by which time the county had been separated from the province in the establishment of Alborz province.[5] In 2013, the city of Meshkin Dasht and other parts were separated from the county in the establishment of Fardis County. Sepiddasht was transferred to Fardis Rural District created in the new Central District.[6] It was the only village in its rural district.[2]
