Sean Kaufman (born June 22, 2000) is an American actor. He is best known for his breakout role as Steven Conklin in the Amazon Prime Video coming-of-age romance series The Summer I Turned Pretty (2022–2025).[1]

Biography

Kaufman was born on June 22, 2000[2] and raised in New York City. His father is American, and is an "underground... actor." His mother is a Japanese immigrant, who is a veterinarian.[3][4] He has a younger sister, Abby.[5][6] He attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School.[7] He later studied at Purchase College's Acting Conservatory, but dropped out during his junior year to film the first season of The Summer I Turned Pretty.[5][8] After production wrapped, he resumed his studies and graduated with a BFA in Acting in 2022.[9]
