Samuel Loxton (born 1857 in Bristol; died 5 February 1922)[1] was an English illustrator and artist who worked primarily in Bristol and the west of England for regional newspapers. Many of his illustrations of Bristol were republished in a contemporary history of the city published in 1909.[2] Some 2000 of his works are catalogued in the Bristol Central Library.[3] A collection of his prints was republished in 1992.[4]
