Robert H. Traurig (June 9, 1925[1] – July 17, 2018)[2] was an American lawyer and businessman who was one of three founders of the Greenberg Traurig, a law and lobbying firm in 1967.[3] The firm grew throughout the late 20th and early 21st centuries to become one of the largest law firms in the United States.
He received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Miami and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.[3] At the University of Miami, he was inducted into the Iron Arrow Honor Society, the highest award bestowed by the university.
In 1967, Traurig co-founded Greenberg Traurig, a law and lobbying firm, initially based exclusively in Miami, which has grown to include approximately 2,650 attorneys and former government professionals in 42 offices across the world. as of 2022[update], Greenberg Taurig is the ninth-largest law firm in the nation.
