Rhys Michael Timothy Carré (born 8 February 1998) is a Wales international rugby union player who plays for Cardiff Rugby as a loosehead prop.
Carré made his debut for the Cardiff in 2016 having previously played for the organisation's academy team. He joined Saracens for the 2019-20 season[1] before returning to Cardiff the following season.[2]
In March 2024, Carré re-signed for Saracens from Cardiff ahead of the 2024-25 season.[3]
International
Carré made his debut for Wales on 31 August 2019, when he started in a 2019 Rugby World Cup warm-up match against Ireland.[4] He was subsequently selected in Wales' 2019 World Cup squad.[5]
He was selected in the initial 54-player training squad for the 2023 Rugby World Cup,[7] before later being dropped from the squad for "failing to meet individual performance targets".[8]
As of March 2024, he has only earned 20 caps for Wales and is not part of the squad for the 2024 Six Nations. If he does not reach 25 caps by the end of the 2023–24 season, he will be ineligible to play for his country upon rejoining Saracens.[9]
