Queen of Lapa is a 2019 documentary film directed by Theodore Collatos and Carolina Monnerat.[ 1] The film profiles Luana Muniz , a Brazilian transgender activist.[ 2] [ 3] The documentary uses cinema verité style to depict the lives of a small community of trans sex workers in Rio de Janeiro 's Lapa neighborhood.[ 4] [ 5]
