Preeya Singh is a footballer who played as a defender for the UC Merced Golden Bobcats. Born in the United States, she is a Fiji international.
Life and career
Singh was born in the United States. She grew up in Manteca, United States.[1] She is of Indian and Fijian descent through her grandparents. She started playing football at the age four.[2] She attended Sierra High School in the United States. She played for their soccer team. After that, she attended the University of California, Merced in the United States. She played for their soccer team. She was regarded as one of their most prominent players. She studied biology.[3]
Singh mainly operates as a defender. She specifically operates as a center-back or as a full-back. She can also operate as a midfielder. She is known for her playmaking ability. She is also known for her speed.[4] She is a Fiji youth international. She played for the Fiji women's national under-20 football team at the 2023 OFC U-19 Women's Championship. She helped the team achieve second place. She is a Fiji international. She played for the Fiji women's national football team at the 2024 OFC Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament.[5] However, the team was unable to achieve qualification for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
