Peesh ili luzhesh (Bulgarian: Пееш или лъжеш; English: Are you singing or lying?) is a Bulgarian television mystery music game show series based on the South Korean programme I Can See Your Voice. It premiered on Nova on 3 November 2016,[3][4] and has been aired for two seasons.
Gameplay
Format
Presented with a group of "mystery singers",[a] a guest artist must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of four rounds. At the end of a game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists.
The winning singer, regardless of being good or bad, will perform again at the encore concert and gets a cash prize.[a]

Visual round
First impression (Bulgarian: Първо впечатление)
s1–2: The guest artist is given some time to observe and examine each mystery singer based on their appearance. Afterward, a muted video of each mystery singer that reveals only 0.3 seconds of their singing voice is played as an additional hint.
Introduction round
Introduction (Bulgarian: Представяне)
s2: Each mystery singer self-introduces to guest artist and panelists. Good singers are telling the truth, while bad singers are allowed to lie.
Talent round
Occupation (Bulgarian: Професия)
s1: The guest artist must describe one of the mystery singer's other talents, except "singing" itself. It may unrelated to the stage of truth, but it depends on their identity.
Lip sync rounds
Lip sync (Bulgarian: Синхронизация на устните)
s1–2: Each mystery singer performs a lip sync to a song; good singers mime to a recording of their own, while bad singers mime to a recording by someone else.
s1: Each mystery singer performs a lip sync on stage and studio sections through split screen.
Interrogation round
100 seconds (Bulgarian: 100 секунди)
s1–2: The guest artist may ask questions to the remaining mystery singers. Good singers are required to give truthful responses, while the bad singers must lie.
Background
Nova Broadcasting Group formally acquired the rights to produce a local adaptation of I Can See Your Voice in Bulgaria in August 2016, including with production duties assigned by Global Films.[7][8]
As preparations for a second season, the show has been affected by advertising revenues[9] due to gambling-related advertisement ban on electronic and digital media,[10][11] with each 30-second commercial costs 11,060 лв as per official reports.[12]
Broadcast history
Peesh ili luzhesh debuted on 3 November 2016.[3][4] In celebration of Nova's 30th founding anniversary during the twelfth season finale of Kato dve kapki voda [bg],[9][13] the series has formally announced to return after an eight-year hiatus[14][15] with a second season that premiered on 22 September 2024.[16][17] As per announcement by director Rafi Bohosian at Na Kafe in November 2024, the series was already renewed for a third season.[18]
Special episodes
After each season finale, New Year's Eve Concerts were held actually at the last day of the year, in which all of winning mystery singers with respective guest artists returning to perform one last time.[b]
Cast
The series has a panel of celebrities who assist the guest artist(s) to decipher mystery singers' identities throughout the game. Alongside with mainstays, guest panelists also appear since the first season. Overall, six different members have been assigned as panelists, with their original lineup being Militsa Gladnishka [bg], Emil Koshlukov, and Alexandra Raeva [bg].
In both duet performances with Yordanka Hristova, Rosen Belov (s1 ep. 8) was initially a bad singer in-game[19] before actually turning good at the New Year's Eve Concert.[20]
