Species of cactus
Opuntia stenopetala is a species low bushy cactus, often forming thickets or mats, the main branches creeping and resting on the edges of the joints.[1] Its native range is within Mexico.[2] It is dioecious, with male and female flowers on separate plants.[3]
Ecology
Unlike most Opuntia species, O. stenopetala is pollinated by hummingbirds.[4]
