At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 10,887 in 2,171 households.[6] There were 9,145 inhabitants in 2,274 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 7,076 in 2,085 households. The most populous of its 79 villages was Sari Qayah, with 500 people.[2]
