Nameh Shir Rural District (Persian: دهستان نمه شير)[3] is in Namshir District of Baneh County, Kurdistan province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Kukhan.[5]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 6,643 in 1,157 households.[6] There were 5,729 inhabitants in 1,219 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 5,090 in 1,360 households. The most populous of its 24 villages was Najneh-ye Olya, with 688 people.[2]
