My Wife Is Formidable (French: Ma femme est formidable ) is a 1951 French comedy film directed by André Hunebelle and starring Fernand Gravey , Sophie Desmarets and Simone Valère .[ 1] [ 2] It was shot at the Saint-Maurice Studios in Paris . The film's sets were designed by the art director Lucien Carré . It was followed by a loose sequel My Husband Is Marvelous in 1952.
Synopsis
Celebrated sculptor Raymond Corbier loves his wife Sylvia and trusts her implicitly. For the first time in their marriage she has to mislead him while fending off the advances of an admirer who threatens suicide. This small lie endangers their loving relationship.
