The Mirage 30 design is not related to the Mirage 30 SX, which is instead a development of the Kirby 30.[5]
Design
The Mirage 30 is a small recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass. It has a masthead sloop rig, an internally-mounted spade-type rudder and a fixed fin keel. It displaces 8,000 lb (3,629 kg) and carries 2,800 lb (1,270 kg) of ballast.[1][2]
The boat has a draft of 4.83 ft (1.47 m) with the standard keel.[1]
The boat is fitted with a fuel tank that holds 20 U.S. gallons (76 L; 17 imp gal) and the fresh water tank has a capacity of 40 U.S. gallons (150 L; 33 imp gal).[1]
The boat has a PHRF racing average handicap of 168 with a high of 178 and low of 165. It has a hull speed of 6.53 kn (12.09 km/h).[2]
