In March 2022 she referred to herself in the House of Commons as a "single mom with six children". Later that month she clarified that she has three children and lives with her partner who sometimes has custody of his three children: "What I should have said is, I’ve been a single mother and I now care for up to six children at a time." [5] As of July 2024, her personal website notes that she is a "mother of three children, between the ages of 13 and 19, and shares her life with her supportive partner, Ryan, and his three daughters."[6]
