Maxime Estève (born 26 May 2002) is a French professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for EFL Championship side Burnley.
A youth product of AS Canet and Montpellier, Estève signed his first aspirant contract with Montpellier on 19 November 2019.[3] He made his professional debut with Montpellier in a 3–2 Ligue 1 loss to Olympique de Marseille on 8 August 2021.[4] On 23 September 2021, he signed his first professional contract with the club.[5]
On 1 February 2024, Estève was loaned out to English side Burnley until the end of the season with an option to buy.[6] On 21 May 2024, Burnley said the loan had been made permanent.[7]
Estève is a youth international for France, having played for the France U20s.[8] His club, Burnley, denied him permission to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics on home soil, and was replaced by Loïc Badé.[9][10]
