Marian Mhloyi is a Zimbabwean politician who has served as the Provincial Affairs Minister and Member of Parliament representing Mashonaland West. She is a member of ZANU–PF.[1][2][3]
Early life
Marian Chombo was born Marian Mhloyi on June 15, 1963, in Mashonaland West, Zimbabwe. She grew up in a family of five children and was raised by her parents, who were both farmers.[3]
Career
Chombo started her career as a teacher and later became a politician. She joined the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) party and rose through the ranks to become a prominent figure in the party. She was appointed Provincial Affairs Minister and Member of Parliament representing Mashonaland West in 2018.[3]

Chombo has faced allegations of corruption and abuse of office, including accusations of embezzling funds meant for constituency development projects. She has also been accused of using her position to unfairly influence the distribution of government resources and favors.[1][3]

In addition to her political career, Chombo has also worked as a businesswoman and farmer. She has also served as a member of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association.[3]
