Established in 1997, Marathonbet is a global online sports betting company offering pre-match and live betting markets across a range of sports and live events through its online sportsbook and casino products.

Operations

Marathonbet was started in the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) in 1997[1] and became one of the first betting operators to launch an online service in 2002.

In 2013, the company launched a mobile app sportsbook for Android, iOS and tablet devices.

In September 2017 Marathonbet announced Natalia Zavodnik as their new chief executive, replacing the previous executive Viktor Hoffmann who retired the same year.[2]

In April 2022 Marathonbet announced the company will be withdrawing their UK website and operations from the 14th of April 2022.[3]

Companies operating under the Marathonbet brand are licensed in Alderney, Italy, Spain, Denmark and Curacao.

In July 2013, Fulham signed a sponsorship deal with Marathonbet.[4]

In June 2014, Marathonbet signed a deal with West Ham United.[5]

In June 2014, Hibernian FC announced a partnership deal with Marathonbet.[6]

In July 2014, Derby County announced a two-year deal with Marathonbet.[7]

In August 2014, Marathonbet signed a two-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur.[8]

In July 2015, Marathonbet signed a sponsorship deal with Girona FC.[9]

In July 2015, Liverpool FC signed a three-year deal with Marathonbet.[10]

In August 2015, Marathonbet signed a sponsorship deal with Middlesbrough FC.[11]

In August 2016, Marathonbet signed a two-year agreement with Málaga CF[12]

In June 2018, Manchester City announced a multi-year deal with Marathonbet.[13]

In August 2018, Marathonbet signed a shirt sponsorship with Lazio.[14]

In June 2019, Marathonbet signed a two-year deal with Sevilla FC[15]

In August 2019, Marathonbet entered a multi-year agreement with Manchester United.[16]

In November 2019, Marathonbet announced their partnership deal with Real Madrid.[17]

In October 2020, Marathonbet announced a partnership with Spanish iGaming provider MGA Games.[18]
