Mal Fletcher (born 1957) is an Australian media commentator, futurist, author, business leadership consultant, and broadcaster. He holds joint Australian and British citizenship and is currently based in London. Fletcher uses YouTube, X and Instagram.
In 1994, Fletcher founded Next Wave International, a communications group.[3][4] He also launched the Euro Youth Events network and the Strategic Leadership Consultation.[5]
Fletcher launched the 2020 plus organization in 2008 (which is now known as 2030plus).[6] The group produces research and publications dealing with future social change and leadership.
Since 1997, Fletcher has written and hosted the EDGES TV documentaries.[7] Over 80 documentaries in the series have been broadcast internationally.[8] These have aired on the Nine Network and Seven Network in Australia[9] and on SABC1 in South Africa.[10] and online.[11]
In 2006, Fletcher began hosting the Catalyst TV series, featuring interviews with social campaigners and activists, including Tony Campolo, Winkie Pratney and Steve Chalke.[12] The programs are broadcast primarily on satellite TV.
Fletcher is the author of ten books (The latest being "Fascinating Times: A Social Commentary"), and contributes to magazines and internet publications.[21] He has been a keynote speaker at events including Hillsong Conference (Australia), Grapevine (UK),[22]Spring Harvest (UK), Rhema Conference (South Africa)[23] and Planetshakers (Australia). He has also featured in marketing campaigns for groups such as the Benenden Healthcare Society.[24]
