Cambodian footballer (born 2005)
Loic Chan (Khmer: ចាន់ឡូអិច; born 6 March 2005) is a footballer who plays as a midfielder for Mallorca. Born in France, he has been called up to represent Cambodia at youth international level.
Early life
Chan started playing football at the age of five.[1] He grew up supporting Spanish La Liga side Barcelona.[2]
Education
Chan attended a football school in France.[3]
Club career
In 2020, Chan signed a contract to be represented by a FIFA-licensed Spanish agent and joined the youth academy of Spanish side Mallorca.[4]
International career
Chan was called up to a Cambodia national under-23 football team training camp for the 2023 AFF U-23 Championship.[5]
Style of play
Chan mainly operates as a midfielder and is known for his technical ability.[6]
Personal life
Chan was born in France to Maurice Chan, a Cambodian stuntman, and a French mother.[7][8]
